Tea room exploration : Beatons tearoom and book shop.

Bell Tower House, Bell Tower Walk, Chester, CH1 2DY. Open 7 days a week, Mon - Sun 9am - 5pm | www.beatonstearooms.co.uk

A quaint and incredibly elegant tea room just a stones throw away from Chester's cathedral, making for a great stop off to over indulge in a spot of tea. Whether you want to dive into a good book, or put your feet up with a cuppa, you'll certainly want to pay them a visit for a slice of the good stuff!

A lovely new addition to Chester, Beaton's Tearoom is a tranquil stop off, often only interrupted by the nearby bell tower's chimes, where you can stop in for a pot of a tea and a slice of some scrumptious cake.

Set in elegant surroundings, taking a pinch of classic elegance from Cecil Beaton for these incredibly unique tearooms, with a lovely setting and layout making for a great stop off, whether it's for a good read, or a pot of tea. Finished off perfectly with their elegant, co-ordinating tablewear, even down to a lovely little timer for your pot of tea to ensure the perfect brew, tea and cake fanciers will just adore this elegant tea room!

The settings have certainly been perfected, with a lovely counter of cakes greeting you as you walk into the tea room, unveiling the day's tasty bakes, from their signature menu of cakes, to their daily offerings, so you can be always be sure of a great selection of freshly baked treats to choose from.

On my visit there was a great selection to choose from, with their signature selection of carrot cakes, white chocolate and lemon, to chocolate cake. I decided to opt for one of their gluten free bakes, a yummy orange and lemon cake. A deliciously moist and light bake, with a lovely flavour to it, I couldn't have achieved such tasty gluten free perfection myself!

To accompany my cake I choose one of their many signature tea blends, a lovely light green tea blend, Cherry Sencha tea, a lovely rose and cherry flavoured blend that had a sweet cherry note to it, going perfectly with the bake. Tea aficionados will really love the selection of teas on offer, ranging from green to rooibos, with classic favourites like Earl grey too, alongside a full menu of coffees and soft drinks.

It's a lovely stop off, away from the hustle and bustle of the high street, making for a great place to visit and unwind, with their free from selection as well, it's great to visit whatever your preferences.
