Tea room exploration : Heirs & Graces.

Edwardian Courtyard, Blakemere Village, Cheshire, CW8 2EB. Open 7 days a week 10am - 5pm | www.heirsandgraces.net

A delightful tea room nestled in the Cheshire countryside, you'd never have thought to come looking for a cuppa and cake in the middle of the picturesque fields and countryside, but a jaunt to Cheshire's Blakemere Village will unveil a lovely little stop off for a pot of tea.

Heirs and Graces is a welcome stop off, located at Cheshire's pretty Blakemere Village. Nestled amongst the site's picturesque courtyard, it's a delightful tea room and a shop all rolled into one, so you can tempt yourself with some pretty crockery whilst you eat your cake!

With it's beautifully colourful vintage inspired interior, making for a quaint stop off whilst you shop around the village, decorated with lovely furnishings amongst all the pretty finds for sale, and with plenty of treats to tempt any keen baker, you'll find sweet tea sets and plates for the perfect afternoon tea.

Nestled amongst all the lovely finds you'll find the day's freshly baked cakes, you'll almost want to snap up the whole sponge cake and the pretty cake stand that it's on.. Classic cakes are their forte, whether it's a Victoria sponge, carrot cake or a tasty scone that tempts you.

On my visit there was plenty to choose from, with lots of freshly baked treats to tempt, I decided to go for the most popular bake of the day before it went, grabbing a tasty slice of coffee and walnut cake. A classic bake and a particular favourite of mine, certainly very flavoursome with a beautiful coffee buttercream, a hearty portion too making for a very filling, and delicious bake.

To accompany my cake I went for a pot of Earl grey, served up in a sweet tea pot with plenty for a few top up's in my cup. You'll find a full menu of teas, coffees and soft drinks in the tea room to accompany your tasty baked treats.

A lovely stop off whilst your visiting the village, you'll certainly have to restrain yourself from buying everything in the shop whilst you eat your cake..
